My First Free Lance Hire!

Today, I took a significant step in my journey by initiating the process of hiring someone. The prospect of being able to produce more video content, both for my clients and myself, is fascinating. I had my first phone call regarding hiring someone, and I'm thrilled about possibly bringing a video creator on board to start this new chapter.

Video's prominence on social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, has surged in the wake of TikTok's explosive growth over the last eight years. Despite TikTok's uncertain future, its influence on other platforms' video strategies is undeniable. YouTube, on the other hand, remains the leading platform for content monetization, making it a lucrative avenue for content creators (not the same as “influencer”). The time to tap into YouTube's potential is now.

My content strategy is designed to be versatile and adaptable. I plan to create one piece of long-form content, such as a YouTube video, and then repurpose it into a blog post or several captions for other social media platforms. This approach allows for creating a variety of short-form content pieces that can be posted and reused across different platforms, ensuring maximum reach and engagement.

The types of video content that I envision being created include hair care tips for my barbering clients. The barber will provide hair care and scalp tips for people with textured hair. For the auto mechanic, I will have them share tips and tricks on how to take care of your car and when to perform maintenance.

For me, Max Fuller, I will create content on starting a business and learning how to scale it to $10,000 a month, and then continue from there. I will also produce content on how to run a successful social media platform for your small business.

What specific goals do I have for video content and audience engagement? This is an important question, and I plan to examine metrics to help measure video content success. A lot of this relates to the original goals of each client.

For my car auto shop, are we bringing more people through the door? Are we increasing revenue for them?

For the hair care tips, are we achieving greater brand awareness? Will there be more engagement?

For Max Fuller, do we aim for increased brand awareness, higher engagement, and a larger following?
